This Privacy Policy explains what information the PromptMaster mobile app (“PromptMaster”, “the app”) processes, why, and what choices you have. PromptMaster is developed and operated by Tiki Studios (“Tiki Studios”, “we”, “us”). This policy applies to the app on iOS and Android and to this website.
Summary
In short: PromptMaster has no user accounts and no servers of its own. Your learning progress stays on your device. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and we use Firebase (by Google) to understand app usage and fix crashes, and RevenueCat — or, in the HUAWEI AppGallery version, HUAWEI In-App Purchases — to manage subscriptions. These providers process some device and usage data as described below. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we are and how to contact us
PromptMaster is developed and operated by Tiki Studios. Tiki Studios is responsible, as the data controller, for the processing of personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to us at support@tikistudios.io.
Data stored only on your device
PromptMaster has no user accounts. The following information is stored only on your device (in the app’s local storage) and is never sent to us — we have no servers to send it to:
- your learning progress: streak, XP, hearts, gems, badges, league standing and completed lessons;
- the questions you answered incorrectly (for review rounds) and the templates you saved;
- the name you type in, if you choose to enter one;
- your settings, such as your field (role), daily goal, language and reminder preference, and whether Premium is active.
You can delete this information at any time with Profile → Reset progress in the app. Resetting erases your progress, badges and records; only your reminder preference (on/off and time) is kept as a setting. Uninstalling the app deletes everything.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device by your phone’s own system. We do not operate a push notification server, and no data is sent anywhere to deliver them. Notifications are optional; you can turn them off in the app or in your device settings, and the app works fully without them.
Weekly league
The opponents in the weekly league are fictional players generated on your device. There are no other real users in the league: your name, score and ranking are not shared with anyone, and nobody else can see you.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of PromptMaster shows interstitial ads between lessons and optional rewarded video ads, delivered by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK), a service of Google.
To deliver ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects:
- device identifiers: the advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; the Android Advertising ID on Android);
- your IP address and a coarse (approximate) location derived from it;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system version and app version;
- ad interaction data, such as ads shown and ads tapped.
Google uses this data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and — only with your consent — ad personalisation. This data goes to Google, not to us.
Your choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ads are requested, a Google-certified consent message (Google’s User Messaging Platform) asks for your choice. It may also appear in other regions where the law requires it. You can change your choice at any time in Profile → Ad privacy settings.
- iOS: the app asks for permission to track through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency. If you don’t allow it, the IDFA is not shared. You can change this later in your iPhone’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in your device’s settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads; names may vary by device).
If you do not allow tracking or do not give consent, the ads you see are non-personalised. PromptMaster Premium subscribers see no ads, and no ads are requested for them.
More information: How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics and crash reports (Firebase)
We use the following Firebase services, provided by Google, to understand how the app is used, improve it, fix crashes and adjust features:
- Google Analytics for Firebase: app usage events and screens viewed, an app instance ID, device and operating system information, and coarse location.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports, including stack traces, device model, operating system version, the state of the app at the time of the crash and an installation UUID.
- Firebase Remote Config: a Firebase installation ID, used to deliver app configuration.
This data is processed by Google. It does not include your learning progress or the name you type in. More information: Privacy and Security in Firebase and the Google Privacy Policy.
Purchases and subscriptions (RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Huawei)
If you buy PromptMaster Premium, the payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) or Huawei (HUAWEI AppGallery). We never see or store your card or payment details.
We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage your subscription status. RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription information: transaction and receipt data from the store, the product purchased, purchase and expiry dates, an anonymous app user ID, device and operating system information, and your IP address. More information: RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
The version of PromptMaster distributed through HUAWEI AppGallery does not use RevenueCat or Google Play Billing. In that version, subscriptions are processed by HUAWEI In-App Purchases, a service of Huawei. To buy or restore a subscription, you sign in with your HUAWEI ID on Huawei’s own screen. Huawei processes your HUAWEI ID, order, subscription and payment information, device information and IP address. The app receives only the purchase record signed by Huawei (the product, order information, and purchase and expiry dates) and verifies its signature on your device. Nothing is sent to us — we have no servers. Google AdMob and Firebase are also used in this version, as described above; ads may not be shown on devices without Google services. More information: Huawei Privacy Statement.
Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) or similar laws apply, we rely on:
- your consent for personalised advertising and, on iOS, tracking (you can withdraw consent at any time as described above);
- performance of a contract for processing your purchases and providing Premium;
- our legitimate interests in showing non-personalised ads to fund the free version, preventing fraud, understanding app usage and fixing crashes, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
International data transfers
Google and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in the providers’ own policies. In the HUAWEI AppGallery version, Huawei may process data in the countries and regions where it operates, under the safeguards described in its own privacy policy.
How long data is kept
- On-device data is kept until you reset your progress or uninstall the app.
- Analytics and crash data is kept by the providers for limited periods according to their retention settings — for example, up to 14 months for Google Analytics for Firebase and 90 days for Firebase Crashlytics.
- Advertising data is kept by Google according to its own policies.
- Purchase and subscription data is kept by RevenueCat, Apple, Google and Huawei for as long as needed to manage your subscription and meet their legal obligations.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, KVKK or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access your data, to have it deleted or corrected, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Because PromptMaster has no accounts, most of these rights can be exercised directly on your device:
- Delete your progress: Profile → Reset progress, or uninstall the app.
- Change your ad consent: Profile → Ad privacy settings.
- Limit ad tracking: your device’s tracking or advertising settings (see above).
- Anything else: email us at support@tikistudios.io. Because we have no accounts, we usually cannot link data held by our providers to you, but we will help you as far as we can and forward your request where needed. You can also contact Google, RevenueCat and Huawei directly.
Children
PromptMaster is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), and ads in the app are not targeted to children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@tikistudios.io and we will help you.
Security
Data sent to our service providers is encrypted in transit. Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security features, such as your screen lock.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
